The artist-in-residence program AIR 101 is an initiative of the Gmunden-based entrepreneur and art collector Andrea Bier. The idea was born during the first lock-down, when, due to the pandemic, many young artists were unable to take advantage of their opportunities for temporary residencies abroad. Since July 2021, artists have been invited to the studio house on the eastern shore of Lake Traun on a monthly basis. In this special atmosphere, artistic works, discussions, and contacts are created; in seclusion as well as in exchange with the region and its actors.
